HIV Basics Training (May 21-23, 2018)

USAID Community Partnership Project conducted the 2nd Basic HIV Training on May 21-23, 2018 at Buddy Oriental Riverside Hotel, Nonthaburi.

Objectives: By the end of training participants will be able to:
  • Explain the difference between HIV and AIDS.
  • Identify risk factors, modes of transmission and strategies in the prevention of HIV, other sexually transmitted infections, and different types of hepatitis.
  • Explain the importance of antiretroviral therapy for the health of people living with HIV and the benefits of early treatment.
  • Explain how community health services can help clients access treatment services for HIV, STI and hepatitis.
  • Identify the importance of awareness of gender and sexuality in providing quality services to individuals and key populations.
  • Discuss the components of ethical and effective service delivery.
  • Identify key skills and techniques for all service providers to communicate effectively with clients.
