HIV Basics and Related Diseases Training (September 4-7, 2018)

USAID Community Partnership Project conducted the capacity-building training, Basic HIV and related infections, for community-based organizations (CBOs) on 4-7, September 2018 at Crowne Plaza Bangkok Lumpini Park, Bangkok. The purpose of the training was to build knowledge on HIV and related infections and services as well as to interconnect and share practical knowledge amongst and between CBOs partners.

Training Objectives:
By the end of the training, the participants would be able to:
1. Differentiate between HIV and AIDS
2. Explain risk factors, transition and consultation to prevent HIV and related diseases including any hepatitis
3. Explain how important of ART dispensing on HIV affected people’ health and benefit of rapid treatment
4. Describe how community health services can assist client accessing to treatment on HIV, STIs and Hepatitis
5. Classify importance of core differentiation between gender and sexuality toward quality health services for key population
6. Deliberate toward componence of effective and ethical services
7. Identify key skills and techniques use for servicers to communicate effectively with client

Participants:
33 trainees in total (12 females and 21 males), which were 25 staff from four community-based organizations, Mplus, RSAT, CAREMAT, SWING, and eight staff from TRCARC
